Keeping the tradition going the Lakeland Hawks once again take down the Timberlake Tigers in a non-conference showdown on Tiger Territory. The Hawks put some numbers up with a 35-6 win.
Lakeland with a 5-2 record is now ranked number 4 in the state of Idaho out of all 5A schools.
The Tigers come out of that game now with a 2-5 record, the complete opposite of the Hawks. Haydon Benson, having an amazing senior season so far, threw a beautiful pass to Cyler Bauer for a touchdown.
Diving into the pylon Bauer picked up his first touchdown of the season.
“It felt so good to be in the end zone — words can’t describe it,” Bauer said.
All that hard work in practice is finally paying off, no better feeling than it showing out on a Friday night.
The Hawks take on the Sandpoint Bulldogs, the big rivalry game, and the first conference game for the Hawks on Friday Oct. 11 at 7pm.
“We want this win so bad, it’s our year,” Bauer said.
