The Lakeland Hawks girls soccer team lost to the Sandpoint Bulldogs 6-1 on Sept. 10.
Paige Rose was the sole scorer for the Hawks, netting the first goal of the game.
“I think our biggest issue in the game was us having to stay in our correct positions and fully commit to being in the game,” Paige Rose said, “Our strongest time of the game is the first 15 until something happens then we either get in our heads or overcome the problems.”
The Lakeland Boys soccer team fell to the Sandpoint Bulldogs 4-3 on Sept. 10th.
“We know what we need to work on,” Nick Haynes said, “hopefully next time we will have a different outcome and we will win.”
The girls soccer won 6-0 against Coeur d’Alene Charter on Sept. 12th.
They are showing a lot of improvement as a team and it is definitely showing on the field.
“We have really good ball movement,” Aspen Liddiard Said, “I think it went well because we were on top of it. I think we were better prepared. I think we can communicate better on and off the ball and have more support.”
The Lakeland Hawks Boys soccer tied with Bonners Ferry Badgers on Sept. 12
“We can get more possession of the ball,” said Asher Drake, “We need to work to the ball more on the field. We are coming together good, we are getting better at our team chemistry. I think we can be number one in districts.”
