Liam Bradford, Sports Editor

It only took four players for the Lakeland Lady Hawks (2-2) to successfully offensively dominate the Moscow Lady Bears (0-1) in a 48-29 victory.

The Lady Hawks only had four players who successfully made field goals throughout the game.

At the half, the Lady Hawks led 25-10 and didn’t allow more than seven points in any of the first three quarters, while Lakeland scored double digits in each quarter of the game.

The Lady Hawks’ four scorers were Addie Kiefer, Katy Ryan, Kenna Simon, and Payton Sterling. The two main leading scorers for Lakeland were Addie Kiefer, who scored 17, and Katy Ryan, who scored 16 points, all in the second and third quarters.

Regardless of the relatively easy win for Lakeland, it did not go without any flaws or mistakes. The team as a whole went 7 for 22 from the free-throw line.

Aside from these mistakes, the Lady Hawks were the faster, stronger team than the Lady Bears, and came out on top.

Lakeland’s next game will be on Tuesday at 7 PM, hosting Bonners Ferry High School.
