Hawks Take Down Lewiston in Kibbie Dome

Liam Bradford, Sports Editor

On Friday, Lakeland Hawks football team (2-2) traveled to the Kibbie dome in Moscow to face off against the Lewiston Bengals (2-2) at a neutral site due to recent air quality issues. The Hawks dominated on both sides of the ball and finished the game with a 39-24 win.

Both teams were relatively evenly matched up entering the game. However, the Hawk’s defense held the unique two-back set of Lewiston in check, especially in the second half.

Lakeland wideout, Alden Waddington, hauled in two deep touchdown passes and finished with 6 catches for 108 yards.

Lewiston runningback, Cruz Hepburn also scored twice in the first half. Hepburn finished with 35 yards on 12 carries.

Both quarterbacks threw for over 200 yards and were able to consistently connect with their receivers.

Lakeland will host Post Falls on Friday in their homecoming game.
