The Lakeland Hawks(8-8, 3-3 IEL)traveled to Lewiston to play the Bengals(14-5, 4-3 IEL)and had a tough 68-48 loss, falling to a .500 winning percentage on the season.

They played well throughout the opening quarters, but after trailing by only three at the half, they couldn’t keep up with the Bengals. The Hawks struggled with fatigue down the road and fell behind. Bryce Henry played a strong game, as usual, and dropped 11 points while Abe Munyer added 11 points, as well.

The Lewiston Bengals outscored the Hawks in the third quarter, 23-9 which was enough to keep the pressure off for long enough to complete a season sweep of Lakeland.

To finish off their regular season, Lewiston plays two games against Lakeland’s 4A competitors, Sandpoint(5-13, 0-6 IEL) and Moscow(10-8, 4-2) on Feb. 11 and Feb. 15.

The Hawks will play their next game on Feb. 11 against the Couer d’Alene Vikings(14-4, 7-2 IEL) on the road.
