The Lakeland Hawks wrestling had a big night in Libby, Montana on Tuesday night. 

The Hawks first dual of the night was against the Bigfork Vikings. The Hawks won the dual 54-18.

The Viking started off strong with a pin at 103 pounds with Jaren Knopp getting pinned in the first round.

The Hawks then won the next three matches with Matthew Williams getting the pin in the first round. Then Duke Williamson got the win with a major decision, 18-4, and Reilly Saxe got a pin in the first round.

The next two matches at 132 pounds and 138 pounds. John Meridith had a back and forth tough battle and won by decision 2-0.Then Lucas Williams had another tough battle and got pinned with a short time remaining. 

The next two matches were both pins for the Hawks with Payden Wysong getting the tech fall 16-0, and Westen Sobel getting the pin in the first round.

The Vikings then won at 160 pounds with Dylan Scott getting pinned 55 seconds into the seconds period.

The Hawks then won remaining matches with Devon Suko and Hutton Hegbloom both achieving pins. Gage Oles and Preston Jeffs both revived forfeits.

The next duel was against the Libby Loggers. The Hawks won 54-24.

The Hawks started off strong with winning the first two matches with Jaren Knop getting a forfeit and Matthew Williams getting a pin in the first round.

Duke Williamson was the next match and lost by decision 13-7. Reilly Saxe then got pinned in the first period.

At 132 pounds John Meridith had a very tough battle going back and forth but unfortunately, lost by decision 4-3

The Hawks then won the next two matches with Payden Wysong and Lucas Williams both getting a pin.

The Loggers then won at 152 with Westen Sobel getting pinned in the third period.

The next two matches were both pins by the Hawks with Dylan Scott and Devon Suko both winning.

At 182 pounds Hutton Hegbloom got pinned in the first period.

The Hawks then won the remaining two matches with Gage Oles and Preston Jeffs both getting the pin.

The Hawks will compete in the Tri-State tournament at North Idaho College this weekend.
