The blood, sweat, tears and the fight all go into the district tournament. This is on of the Hawks most important tournament this season. All week the coaches have been moving wrestlers around in the line up so that they can have the max amount of athletes at the tournament.

Lakeland is allowed to bring the top two wrestlers from each weight class while Sandpoint and Moscow are only allowed one.

The Hawks enter the following wrestlers into the tournament at each weight classes, 98 Mat Williams, 106 Scott Glass and Duke Williamson, 113 Rylie Saxe, 120 Owen Rose, 126 Payton Wysong and John Maredith, 132 Colin Killian and Michael Wee, 138 Lucas Williams and Weston Sobol, 145 Ryle Siegford and Colton Dow, 152 Blaise Wright and Soren Sabatke, 160 Copper Johnson and Wesley Banderob, 170 Devon Suko and Basciat Nelson, 182 John White and Jacob Lafollete, 195 Hayden Berger and Devon Howell, 220 Gerald Yeahquo and Bradley Grubham, 285 Sam Fuesier and Preston Jeffs.

Moscow and Sandpoint will have to fight hard if they want to beat the Hawks in team points. Ever year Lakeland has multiple finalist wrestling off from the same team in the finals and year after year Lakeland comes out on top and has the most finishers.

There are many athletes that will put up a fight at the state tournament and many of them could even bring home a state title for the Hawks. Lakeland has placed as a team several years in a row and will be looking to place again this season. As always they are hoping to bring home first place and this season they have the skills to bring home that first place trophy.

Not just the top wrestler for the district tournament get to take the trip down to state. If a second place finisher places at districts also have a chance to attend the state tournament.

If a second place finisher at the district tournament has a better season record then a wrestler down south they take that wrestlers spot in the state tournament. This gives the Hawks one more chance to score more points. The extra wrestlers going down to the tournament will help the team bring home another trophy for the case.
